Goal & what you need
Goal
Prevent premature distributions, unsupported closing statements, missed objections, incomplete receipts, unresolved balances, and files marked closed before the personal representative is discharged.
What you need
- Opened Florida formal administration with current letters, docket, will, orders, and responsible lawyer
- Reconciled final accounting, claims and expense records, tax and compensation records, approved distribution plan, and estate-account ledger or documented exceptions
- Responsible lawyer and personal representative assigned to decide readiness, waivers, service, objections, distributions, reserves, hearing needs, and legal effect
Check your firm’s process. This lesson teaches a safe general workflow. Your firm’s software, folder names, naming rules, retention steps, and escalation contacts may differ. If you are unsure, stop and ask your supervisor.
