Goal & what you need
Goal
Prevent stale threshold use, unsupported eligibility decisions, omitted assets or creditors, defective notice, premature collection, and transfers that do not match the entered order.
What you need
- Verified decedent, death evidence, possible will, domicile and venue records, family and beneficiary information, and responsible lawyer
- Available asset, title, valuation, protected-property, debt, creditor, and prior-proceeding records preserved in a protected workspace
- Written lawyer direction controlling eligibility, petitioners, interested persons, creditor treatment, notice, proposed distribution, filing, and court-order review
Check your firm’s process. This lesson teaches a safe general workflow. Your firm’s software, folder names, naming rules, retention steps, and escalation contacts may differ. If you are unsure, stop and ask your supervisor.
