Core lesson: 13-18 minutes Reviewed against 11 official and supporting sources

Goal & what you need

Goal

Obtain a complete, auditable financial-record package for every approved medical billing account and close only after each requested artifact is verified or a responsible lawyer accepts a documented exception.

What you need

  • A reviewed provider and billing-custodian inventory
  • Responsible-lawyer direction on purpose, requester pathway, scope, and final reviewer
  • A valid patient request, personal-representative authority, or authorization appropriate to the selected pathway
  • Known dates of service, facilities, practitioners, account numbers, claim information, or other approved identifiers
  • Approved secure transmission, delivery, storage, and tracking systems

Check your firm’s process. This lesson teaches a safe general workflow. Your firm’s software, folder names, naming rules, retention steps, and escalation contacts may differ. If you are unsure, stop and ask your supervisor.
