Goal & what you need

Goal

Produce a verified, lawyer-approved subpoena package that reaches issuance and service only after the correct notice and objection gates, then securely reconcile every response and record received.

What you need

  • A pending Florida state civil action with a current docket, caption, case number, parties, case-management order, and discovery cutoff
  • Written responsible-lawyer direction selecting Rule 1.351 records-only production or a separately approved court-order path
  • A verified nonparty holder, custodian, service address, county, patient identity, date range, artifact scope, purpose, and return method
  • A completed protected-record and HIPAA screen with lawyer-approved handling decisions
  • Firm-approved templates, calendaring, e-service, process-service, secure-transfer, payment, and tracking systems
  • Completion of the preceding Medical Records Retrieval courses

Check your firm’s process. This lesson teaches a safe general workflow. Your firm’s software, folder names, naming rules, retention steps, and escalation contacts may differ. If you are unsure, stop and ask your supervisor.
